3PEACESWEETZ RETURN WITH A JUNGLE-INFUSED LOVE LETTER TO LOPATIN’S ECCO JAMS

3PeaceSweets return this week with a love letter to Daniel Lopatin’s seminal mixtape ‘Ecco Jams’. It’s the second release on My Pet Flamingo sub-label – INNERSENSE RECORDINGS and here at FutureSounds we’ve got exclusive previews of 2 new tracks!

The new EP is a rave tinged homage to an album that helped to define the Vaporwave genre; Ecco Jams reinvented as Ecco Breaks…

‘Vol.1’ is out this Friday on all digital platforms, and the label Bandcamp page will also have a small batch of white label ‘promo’ copies available ahead of a wider vinyl release later in the year.

Lopatin (under the Chuck Person alias) is credited as one of the inventors of Vaporwave, and this love letter to his 2010 mixtape re-deploys those techniques as Vapor-Breaks.

We’ve got exclusive streaming links to two tracks from the EP…

A1 – ‘Nobody Here’

‘Nobody Here’ sees 3PeaceSweetz giving the Jungle treatment to Chuck Person’s most famous ‘Ecco Jam’.

Chris De Burgh’s soporific vocal is twisted into something even more subversive; drowned in a haze of delay, reverb and pitch shifting. The bassline is sinister, the breaks even more so.

A2 – ‘Angel (Please Don’t Go)’

Track 2 – ‘Angel (Please Don’t Go)’ – takes the EP into slightly sunnier territory.

The Fleetwood Mac sample sits hazily on top of a classic ’94 era Happy Hardcore piano line, before Prodigy-esque stabs shift the track into a chaotic breakdown…

‘Ecco Breaks vol.1’ will be available on all streaming platforms this Friday 1st November, and from 5pm UK on the INNERSENSE RECORDINGS Bandcamp page.

White Label Promo copies of the vinyl are strictly limited to 15, cut at 45rpm, and shipping at the start of the month.
